Go/Golang Developer – Remote Contract for AI Tool Evaluation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Go/Golang developer to join a customer’s research team on a part‑time, remote contract. You will help evaluate and train next‑generation AI coding tools that are still in confidential alpha stages, providing rapid feedback and detailed documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints within a modern Go stack.
• Conduct rigorous data validation and comprehensive error handling.
• Execute database migrations and performance optimisation.
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor during intensive 4‑day testing bursts.
• Identify, document, and report incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed notes and screenshots.
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack, offering real‑time feedback and insights.
• Complete structured surveys on model usability after each testing burst.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Golang developer.
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development best practices.
• Proven experience with AI‑powered coding tools, preferably Cursor.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for hands‑on coding, rapid prototyping, and technical curiosity.
• Ability to document findings thoroughly without sharing confidential information.
