Head of Distributed Systems (IT Infrastructure)

About the role

Crédit Agricole Egypt is seeking a senior leader to head its Distributed Systems and IT Infrastructure function. The role will oversee legacy, modern, and air‑gapped platforms while establishing a robust DevSecOps practice across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional team responsible for enterprise‑wide infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux, and legacy mainframe/mid‑range environments.
• Define and enforce governance for air‑gapped AI workloads and secure AI data pipelines.
• Drive automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet to improve reliability and speed of delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with hardware and software providers.
• Conduct and lead compliance audits for standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Develop and upskill staff to transition from traditional system administration to AI‑focused DevSecOps engineering.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience managing cross‑functional infrastructure and DevSecOps teams.
• Background in highly regulated sectors such as banking or telecommunications.
• Proven track record of leading compliance audits and vendor negotiations.
