Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning. This senior leader will translate complex financial data into actionable insights for the executive team and Board, driving performance and governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Monitor business performance against strategic and financial objectives.
• Provide strategic insights to support executive decision‑making.
• Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial reporting.
• Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and compliance.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audit requirements and executive dashboards.
• Present performance, risks and growth opportunities to senior management and the Board.
• Drive finance transformation, automation, digitalisation and reporting enhancements.
• Evaluate and implement new finance operating models, including Shared Services and Business Partnering.
• Lead finance restructuring, organisational design and workforce planning.
• Develop business cases, financial models and conduct ROI, NPV, IRR and sensitivity analyses.
• Build and lead a high‑performing finance organisation, including succession planning and coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA or CFA preferred.
• 12–15 years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, manufacturing or multi‑site operations.
• Proven success in finance transformation, organisational restructuring and business partnering.
• Strong background in investment analysis, financial planning and executive reporting.
• Experience leading cross‑functional transformation and change initiatives.
