Head of Operations Software & Hardware

About the role

As Head of Operations – Software & Hardware, you will own the operational backbone of the company, ensuring software delivery, hardware production, logistics and cross‑functional processes run efficiently, reliably and at scale. This senior executive role requires a proven leader with deep experience in both software and hardware environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall operational strategy and execution across software and hardware functions.
• Lead and scale cross‑functional operations teams, aligning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, product and support.
• Build and optimise processes for software delivery (release management, QA, deployment) and hardware operations (procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality control).
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships for hardware components, manufacturing and logistics.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs, drive efficiency, cost optimisation and risk management.
• Oversee resource planning, budgeting and capacity management at an organisational level.
• Ensure compliance with industry, quality and safety standards for hardware products.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, scaling initiatives and organisational design.

Required profile

• 15+ years of operations leadership experience spanning both software and hardware environments.
• Track record of building and scaling operations functions in growth‑stage or complex organisations.
• Strong financial acumen with budget ownership and cost management at scale.
• Excellent leadership, executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
