Head of Risk Management

About the role

The Head of Risk Management will lead the development and execution of TSFE’s risk strategy, ensuring that risk considerations are embedded in all business decisions and investment activities. Reporting to the CEO and Board, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational risk management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align risk management priorities with the company’s strategic and financial plans.
• Maintain and regularly update risk registers, taxonomy, appetite statements and guiding principles.
• Design and implement risk assurance tools, software and frameworks throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Provide periodic risk reports and assurance to the Board, committees and senior leadership.
• Evaluate risk exposure, set thresholds and ensure controls are within limits.
• Lead risk due‑diligence for mergers, acquisitions and major business transactions.
• Coordinate with investment teams, legal counsel and compliance to embed risk controls in every deal stage.
• Advise the CEO on emerging market developments, regulatory changes and breach incidents.
• Manage and develop direct reports, including Legal Counsel and Compliance functions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, preferably within a financial or investment environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and board members on risk‑related matters.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk modelling, assessment and mitigation planning.
• Track record of leading risk due‑diligence for M&A activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
