Head Seafood Chef

About the role

Our client, a leading hospitality group in Oman, is opening a flagship seafood restaurant in Muscat. They are seeking a Head Seafood Chef to lead the culinary team, shape the menu and ensure an exceptional dining experience focused on premium seafood.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation for the new seafood concept.
• Develop and execute innovative seafood menus, including raw bar, grilled and cooked dishes.
• Oversee fish butchery, shellfish preparation and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Control food costs, manage inventory and maintain HACCP standards.
• Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house managers to deliver seamless service.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of culinary experience with a strong focus on seafood.
• Current or recent experience as a Head Chef in a dedicated seafood restaurant (hotel experience not considered).
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Arabic speaking is preferred; Gulf region experience highly valued.
