Health Coordinator – Elminya, Egypt

About the role

The Health Coordinator will lead community health activities in Elminya, improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations. This position is funded by Expertise France and focuses on strengthening primary health care in line with Egypt's Universal Health Insurance rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of community health programmes in Elminya governorate.
• Recruit, train and supervise Community Health Workers (CHWs).
• Build capacity of local NGOs to deliver community health services.
• Plan and conduct health awareness, screening sessions and events.
• Coordinate with health authorities, stakeholders and donors to assess needs and support infrastructure.
• Manage the Elminya component of a 24‑month project covering three governorates.
• Establish and support community health committees.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in health coordination or community health programmes.
• Experience working with vulnerable groups such as refugees, migrants, women and persons with disabilities.
• Familiarity with child safeguarding level 3 requirements.
• Ability to manage staff, budgets and donor‑funded projects.
