Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist

About the role

The HSE Specialist will lead occupational health and safety initiatives at Cellopack’s manufacturing facilities in 6th of October, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Raise employee awareness of OHS practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), workplace hazards and safety procedures.
• Ensure implementation of safety rules, technical instructions and procedures to protect employees, assets and facilities.
• Conduct regular safety inspections across work areas, identify potential hazards and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Inspect firefighting and fire alarm systems periodically and prepare condition reports.
• Report safety violations, recommend corrective actions and enforce disciplinary measures when needed.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports and propose preventive measures.
• Distribute required PPE according to job requirements and ensure proper usage.
• Monitor PPE compliance and take appropriate disciplinary action in line with company policy.

Required profile

• Resident in 6th of October.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related field.
• 2–4 years of HSE experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety laws, regulations and requirements.
• Good knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment techniques, first aid and fire safety procedures.
• Ability to conduct safety training and raise employee awareness.
• Excellent report‑writing and documentation skills.
• NEBOSH certification (required).
• OSHA certification (required).
• Additional HSE certifications and training are highly preferred.
• Good command of English (preferred).
