Healthcare Nutrition Specialist – 6‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

Danone MENA is seeking a Healthcare Nutrition Specialist to join its Specialized Nutrition team in Qaliobya, Egypt, on a six‑month maternity cover basis. The role focuses on promoting Danone’s nutrition solutions to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and strengthening scientific relationships to drive market share.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics and private practices to build scientific‑based relationships with HCPs and KOLs.
• Deliver accurate product information, clinical studies and visual/audio presentations to influence prescribing decisions.
• Identify business opportunities, implement weekly call cycles and respond to competitive activities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, handle queries/complaints and ensure compliance with WHO and local regulations for infant formula.
• Prepare and submit promotional activity reports, manage daily databases and monitor key performance indicators.
• Organise and participate in seminars, nutrition education events and team meetings.
• Collect intelligence on HCPs and competitor actions, reporting insights to management.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background with the ability to communicate complex nutrition concepts.
• Proven experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, preferably within nutrition.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently, manage a territory and achieve quantitative targets.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
