Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor / Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s high quality standards after they have been serviced by housekeepers. This full‑time, onsite position coordinates daily housekeeping activities, works closely with engineering, front office and laundry teams, and supports management in staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool and other spaces after cleaning to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status for departing guests and communicate changes to the next shift.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Assist housekeeping management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to coordinate efforts.
• Complete required paperwork, safety reports and follow all company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
