HR Site Manager – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The Site HR Manager acts as the on‑site people partner for FCG’s frozen French‑fries plant, aligning HR strategy with production, quality, safety and cost objectives. You will lead a large, shift‑based workforce in a remote location, handling employee relations, talent attraction, retention and seasonal workforce peaks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Plant Director and functional leaders to align HR plans with production schedules and seasonal campaigns.
• Build strong relationships with line managers and supervisors to provide hands‑on HR support on the shop floor.
• Forecast headcount, lead high‑volume recruitment for hourly and technical roles, and develop local talent pipelines.
• Manage employee relations, including discipline, grievances, attendance, and shift‑related issues, in line with Egyptian Labour Law.
• Conduct investigations and recommend actions, run appraisal cycles, and support performance calibration.
• Collaborate with HSE and food‑safety teams to embed safety, hygiene and HACCP/GMP standards.
• Champion employee wellbeing, overseeing accommodation, transport, canteen and camp welfare.
• Identify training needs and drive on‑the‑job upskilling for operators and supervisors.
• Lead HR aspects of line expansions, automation, restructuring and change communication.
• Develop and apply HR policies and remote‑site provisions, ensuring compliance with local legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• HR certification (CIPD, SHRM or HRCI) highly preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5 years as an HR Business Partner.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food‑processing environments supporting large blue‑collar, shift‑based workforces.
