HSE Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environment initiatives across our farming division. You will shape and continuously improve HSE systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve HSE policies, procedures and programs for all farming operations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and safety audits; identify hazards and drive mitigation.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and oversee corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental impact and drive sustainability projects (waste management, energy efficiency, resource conservation).
• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, drills and response procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR and regulatory authorities to integrate HSE strategies.
• Supervise HSE officers and site safety teams.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports, KPIs and improvement plans to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Agriculture or related field.
• NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification (required).
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
• 8–12 years of progressive HSE experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong background in agribusiness, manufacturing or multinational environments.
• Proven track record managing site‑based HSE operations and multi‑site compliance.
