IL6S Engineer - Alexandria Plant

About the role

Mondelēz International is hiring an IL6S Engineer for its Alexandria plant in Borg El Arab. The role supports continuous improvement (CI) and loss management across the site, helping maintain systems, collect accurate data and track department KPI scorecards. It is a full-time, regular position with no relocation support.

Key responsibilities

• Train teams on CI tools and techniques and help departments follow the daily management system (DMS)
• Help teams collect or extract data to support CI and the DMS, and facilitate root-cause analysis of losses and KPI gaps
• Establish new work standards and train colleagues on CI tools and standards
• Support safety culture and loss management across the site, aiming for cost savings in conversion costs
• Lead supply chain improvement projects in the plant, in coordination with the End-to-End Supply network pillar
• Build problem-solving capability in production and other pillars using tools such as root cause analysis, value stream mapping, SMED, X-Y matrices and statistical process control, and develop six sigma methodologies
• Improve warehouse standards and reduce stock and forecast errors, and coach SGA loss eradication activities
• Lead Kobetsu Kaizen projects to eliminate complex losses in personnel, facilities, equipment and materials, and coordinate focused improvement projects (Kobetsu Kaizen)
• Own FI work processes at site-wide level (Kaizen, productivity cycles, SPC capability building, GB/BB projects) and track performance against KPIs and production standards
• Assist in creating tools for production engineers to identify, quantify and monitor losses, and work with process owners on the financial performance of loss elimination plans

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is a must; Mechanical Production or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 1 year of experience with process improvement methods and tools (DMAIC, RCA, 5W, Kaizen, SMED, VSM)
• Fluent English and Arabic speaker
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
