Senior Manager BD&E, MENAP & SSA

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Senior Manager BD&E (Business Development and Engineering) for its MENAP and SSA business unit, based in Cairo. The role supports the I2M (Innovation 2 Market) and IIM (Initiative Management) processes for sites and clusters, covering change management, innovation management and capital investment for new and existing products, packaging and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support project development and execution, including site AR write-ups, IIM design reviews (DR2-DR6) and verification (DR7)
• Lead plant activities from design reviews onward: master data, artwork, raw/pack material availability and timing
• Act as the main interface between commercial stakeholders and engineering, manufacturing and R&D
• Support the site strategic plan, annual contracts and the site CAPEX budget, integrating innovation and renovation plans into supply plans
• Manage ongoing simplification, de-complexity and productivity improvement, and ensure regional/global menu cards are delivered
• Lead and coach the business development change coordinators and build capability across the regional BD&E community
• Lead multi-functional project teams through the full project lifecycle, manage capital work in progress and oversee CAPEX governance and reporting
• Manage product and process changes, new product launches, external manufacturing qualification and continuous improvement projects

Required profile

• BSc/MSc degree in Engineering
• 10-15 years of experience in operations roles (manufacturing, engineering, business development, project management)
• Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging, and of food engineering trends
• Strong English and computer skills, and excellent project and stakeholder management skills

• TPM, 5S, LEAN, 6 Sigma, safety and GMP standards
• End-to-end manufacturing processes and the commercialization process (I2M)
• Technical and financial affairs, MS Office, AutoCAD and SAP
