Industrial Safety Officer

About the role

The Industrial Safety Officer ensures the safety, reliability and proper functioning of all hotel facilities and equipment. Working on‑site at Al Pasha Coast, the role combines preventive maintenance with guest service to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room assets and building systems.
• Inspect, lubricate and clean equipment; identify and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities to other shifts.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filters, lighting and other guest‑room items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler systems.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
