Infant Teacher

About the role

CADMUS International School in Alburouj, Cairo, is looking for an Infant Teacher within its Teaching & Academics department. The teacher ensures students' academic success and helps them reach their full potential through the SABIS curriculum, philosophy and teaching methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classes using provided lesson plans, and develop lesson plans from approved pacing charts when needed, delivering the curriculum and the SABIS Point System.
• Mark exams according to the schedule and materials provided by the department.
• Discuss student disciplinary and academic concerns with the Academic Quality Controller and the Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System in the classroom and proctor exams as required.
• Support, guide and motivate academically underperforming students.
• Help with testing, substitute for absent teachers, organize students for lunch and buses, control crowd and traffic, and carry out other administrative tasks.
• Prepare for and take part in student life events such as art, open houses and physical education, with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions and perform other tasks delegated by the School Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Pedagogy degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
• English proficiency; native English is required for Infant and English Teacher positions.
• Meets country and local education and certification requirements, and passes reference and criminal background checks.

• Knowledge of pedagogy and the SABIS system.
• Soft skills: teamwork, communication, flexibility, time management, accountability and ethical conduct.
