Information Security Officer (Egypt)

About the role

Citi is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to lead its cybersecurity function in Egypt. The role carries executive‑level authority and is responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Citi’s information assets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Information Security Subject Matter Expert for senior stakeholders and internal teams.
• Manage cyber issue identification, monitoring, and regulatory engagement across First, Second, and Third Lines of Defense.
• Coordinate collection, entry, and maintenance of deliverables for internal and external examinations.
• Facilitate responses to reviewers, communicate findings to senior management, and drive remediation of identified issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and oversee timely issue remediation.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to team members.
• Ensure compliance with cyber regulatory obligations in Egypt and collaborate with compliance and CISO teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in information security or cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Strong judgment, autonomy, and capability to work with limited supervision.
• Experience engaging with regulators and managing cross‑functional relationships.
