About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Islamic Religion Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. The teacher delivers comprehensive Islamic Studies lessons that promote understanding, respect and appreciation of Islamic teachings among students, working on site within the school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, informative Islamic Religion lessons in line with curriculum standards.
• Help students develop a deep understanding of Islamic principles, history and culture.
• Assess and monitor student progress, giving constructive feedback and support.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Islamic teachings with other parts of the curriculum where appropriate.
• Engage with parents and guardians to support students' educational and spiritual development.
• Take part in school events and professional development activities related to religious education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Religious Education or a related field.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification preferred.
• Experience teaching Islamic Religion at primary or secondary level desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student development and positive relationships with the school community.
