IT Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will provide technical assistance to project teams working on offshore inspection and survey projects, ensuring smooth execution of all IT-related aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and configure survey equipment packages (Survey, IT, Electronic) to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Install, commission, and support software systems in offshore survey environments.
• Provide remote technical support to offshore teams via email, phone, and remote‑access tools.
• Coordinate equipment setup and ensure teams are equipped for maximum effectiveness.
• Conduct post‑project testing, maintenance, and repair of company equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve system performance, configuration, and security issues for internal users.
• Support system installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Participate in IT operations such as monitoring, incident response, patching, backups, and reliability tasks.

Required profile

• Higher education qualification in IT, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a technical or IT support role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
