Java Software Engineer

About the role

The Java Software Engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to translate end‑user requirements into pragmatic, high‑performance solutions. You will work on modern Java‑based back‑end services, contributing to a technology stack that drives the client’s competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java 8+ applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Implement and secure RESTful APIs for large‑scale distributed systems.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, write unit and integration tests, and continuously deliver new functionality.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve technical dependencies and ensure smooth deployments.
• Contribute to microservice architecture, including service discovery and circuit‑breaker patterns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 0‑6 years of software development experience, depending on the engineering level.
• Strong understanding of JVM languages (Java, Kotlin) and modern backend frameworks.
• Experience with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB) and non‑relational databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI pipelines (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).
