Junior Automation Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Automation Technician to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of automation and control systems in a manufacturing environment. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will help ensure reliable system performance while complying with GMP and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in routine monitoring and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, and BMS systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Report system alarms and promptly escalate issues to senior technicians or engineers.
• Document activities and follow GMP, safety, and documentation procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Manufacturing, Validation, Calibration, IT, EHS, Projects) and external partners (automation vendors, OEMs, system integrators, auditors, service providers).

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation.
• Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements.
• 0‑4 years of experience in automation/maintenance within a manufacturing setting; internships or training in PLC/SCADA are a plus.
• Fair English proficiency (writing, speaking, listening).

Required skills

• Basic PLC programming (Siemens platform).
• Familiarity with SCADA and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Understanding of networking and industrial communication protocols.
