Lead Interface / Integration Engineer - Railway Project

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for a lead interface engineer to join its Cairo team. The role manages interface and integration for a railway project, coordinating with contractors and reviewing interface deliverables such as the interface management plan, interface register, interface matrix and interface control document.

Key responsibilities

• Manage interface and integration activities and coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders
• Resolve interface conflicts and optimise designs through collaboration with contractors and stakeholders
• Ensure all interface designs comply with applicable codes, regulations and organisational standards
• Take part in project meetings and give technical recommendations for interface optimisation
• Maintain organised documentation and version control of interface designs and specifications

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience in interface design and coordination between multiple engineering disciplines
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, MEP, railway systems and construction standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects preferred

Required skills

• Familiarity with infrastructure design standards and building codes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred: experience with advanced BIM software and project management tools
• Preferred: knowledge of construction sequencing and logistics
