About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a dedicated and experienced Learning Disabilities Teacher (LDD) for the academic year 2026-2027. The teacher supports students with learning disabilities to reach their full potential through tailored instruction and close collaboration with educators, parents and specialists. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify the learning needs of students with learning disabilities.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique challenges and goals.
• Provide specialized teaching and support that promotes academic progress and social-emotional development.
• Work with classroom teachers to bring effective strategies and accommodations into mainstream classrooms.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
• Engage with parents and caregivers to build collaboration around each student's learning journey.
• Take part in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with best practices in special education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Educational Psychology.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience supporting students with learning disabilities.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Relevant teaching certification or specialization in learning disabilities is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of learning disabilities and evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families and staff.
• Patience, empathy and dedication to supporting diverse learners.
