Lecturer/Instructor – Graphic Design & Intermedial Design

About the role

The German University in Cairo invites applications for a Lecturer/Instructor position in Graphic Design, focusing on Design Foundations and Intermedial Design. The role begins in September 2026 and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students the fundamentals of visual communication.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core concepts of visual communication, illustration, and comics.
• Guide students in drawing and image production across two‑ and three‑dimensional analog and digital media.
• Integrate digital and analog design techniques to develop a strong visual language.
• Provide instruction on visual identity system development and analysis.
• Conduct research related to design practice in social, cultural, economic, scientific, and technological contexts.

Required profile
