Life Guard

About the role

The Mövenpick Hotel Cairo-Media City in 6th of October City, Egypt, is looking for a dedicated Life Guard to protect the safety and well-being of guests at its aquatic facilities. The role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented person who combines strong water safety expertise with excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool and beach areas continuously to spot hazards and prevent drowning incidents
• Keep first aid, CPR and water rescue knowledge current and respond quickly to emergencies
• Inspect aquatic facilities regularly and make sure safety signs are visible, accurate and up to date
• Enforce facility rules and safety regulations professionally and kindly
• Carry out water rescues and give emergency medical assistance when needed
• Keep detailed incident reports and tell management about hazardous situations
• Help implement health, safety and hygiene standards and assist guests with questions
• Support operations across different areas of the facility and keep rescue tools and safety devices in good condition

Required profile

• Vocational college diploma or equivalent
• Current professional life guard certification, plus current First Aid and CPR certificates
• At least 2 years of related experience in a life guard or aquatic safety role
• Proficiency in English and Arabic
• Advanced swimming with demonstrated water rescue and survival skills
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina for extended shifts indoors and outdoors
