Linux System Administrator – Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to ensure the reliability, security and performance of Axis’s infrastructure. You will manage both physical and virtual environments, support our fintech platform and keep the systems running 24/7 for our customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to provide continuous system health reporting.
• Install, configure and administer Linux operating systems across servers and virtual hosts.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix, including provisioning and maintenance.
• Update and patch operating systems, applications and security appliances.
• Administer network time (NTP) services, logging systems and SIEM solutions.
• Perform security event analysis and coordinate with vendors for technical support.
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery policies and perform regular health checks of storage systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux distributions, virtualization (VMware ESXi, Nutanix) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
