Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to monitor and ensure the full functionality of our infrastructure, both software and hardware, supporting Axis’s mobile wallet and digital banking platform.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and administer monitoring and alerting systems to provide 24/7 health reporting.
• Manage servers, physical hosts and virtual environments (VMware ESXi, Nutanix).
• Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
• Update and verify security appliances, applications and perform regular patching.
• Maintain network time (NTP) across Trust Center appliances and TSP services.
• Set up, administer and analyse logging and SIEM solutions.
• Coordinate technical support and vendor renewals.
• Implement and manage System Information and Event Management (SIEM) appliances and conduct event/security analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux distributions, server installation, configuration and management.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and performance tuning.
• Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and backup/disaster‑recovery practices.
