Loan Officer Floater – Alexandria & Pineville

About the role

The Loan Officer Floater supports members across Pelican Credit Union’s Alexandria and Pineville branches by processing consumer loan products, issuing credit cards, and opening new accounts. This front‑line position blends loan‑officer duties with member‑experience responsibilities and requires strong sales acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Process and evaluate loan applications with high accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying potential fraud.
• Open and close personal and business accounts to meet member needs.
• Issue and service new credit cards for members.
• Deliver excellent service in person, by phone, and through written communication.
• Cross‑sell credit‑union products via outbound calls and face‑to‑face interactions to meet sales targets.
• Serve as a Member Experience Representative or Loan Officer at assigned branches.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a financial institution (teller, contact center, lending, or loan processing).
• Strong sales background.
• Eligibility for licensing to sell required insurance products.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation for travel between locations.
