Logistics Support Officer

About the role

The Logistics Support Officer provides efficient logistical and administrative assistance to the Rolling Stock Unit (RSU), ensuring daily operations run smoothly and enabling engineers and technicians to work productively.

Key responsibilities

• Administrative & HR coordination: manage payroll data, track work hours, process leave and overtime requests, and prepare operational documents based on engineers' schedules.
• Logistics & inventory support: maintain tool, PPE and accessory stock; conduct regular counts; coordinate procurement of materials and spare parts with the Supply Chain team; ensure continuous supply of water, stationery and office supplies for the RSU.
• Data entry & record keeping: enter traceability data after each maintenance activity into the MMS system or Excel files; scan and archive maintenance checklists on the shared drive.
• Facilities coordination: inspect RSU‑managed buildings, submit service requests, liaise with owners for repairs and track resolution timelines.
• Safety responsibilities: promote a positive safety culture, attend safety meetings, and comply with RDMC RQHSE policies and the Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or a related field.
• 0‑3 years of experience in a maintenance, logistics or warehouse environment; railway experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of administrative workflows and safety principles in industrial settings.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic inventory management and procurement coordination.
• Data‑entry accuracy and record‑keeping in digital systems.
