Low-Voltage Security Systems Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Low‑Voltage Security Systems Specialist to remotely program, configure, test and troubleshoot commercial camera, access‑control and fire‑alarm installations. The role focuses on Ubiquiti UniFi cameras, UniFi Access and Potter fire‑alarm platforms, supporting field teams before final deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and support Ubiquiti UniFi cameras and UniFi Access devices.
• Assist with programming and technical coordination for Potter fire‑alarm systems.
• Assign IP addresses, adjust network settings and verify device connectivity.
• Test cameras, card readers, door access, video feeds and overall system performance.
• Troubleshoot software, network and device communication issues remotely.
• Prepare systems remotely prior to on‑site installation.
• Coordinate with project managers and field technicians during setup and issue resolution.
• Document system settings, test results and completed configurations.
• Provide occasional urgent technical support during U.S. business hours.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi cameras or UniFi Access.
• Experience with Potter fire‑alarm systems or comparable commercial fire‑alarm platforms.
• Solid understanding of IP networking, including addressing, gateways and device connectivity.
• Background in low‑voltage security, surveillance, access control or fire‑alarm systems.
• Systematic troubleshooting approach and strong attention to detail.
• Clear English communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Availability during U.S. business hours.
