Maintenance Engineer

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is based in Sadat City, Egypt. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the daily operation, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment used in frozen food manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Inspect machinery, diagnose faults and document maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production, quality and safety teams.
• Support continuous-improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with external service providers when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in industrial or FMCG environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use maintenance management systems.
• Willingness to work shifts or flexible hours.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and repair of production lines.
• Electrical maintenance, basic diagnostics and panel work.
• Preventive maintenance program planning and implementation.
• Use of maintenance management software.
