Managing Director (Egypt)

About the role

Symrise is seeking a Managing Director for its operations in Egypt. The role is responsible for defining and executing the company’s strategic vision, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic direction aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
• Drive profitable and sustainable business growth while maintaining operational efficiency and financial discipline.
• Establish and oversee strategic operating plans, translating long‑term priorities into actionable objectives.
• Ensure robust operational, financial and governance frameworks to support performance and risk management.
• Lead, coach and develop the executive leadership team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Create a culture where business objectives, values and performance expectations are clearly understood.
• Monitor business performance against strategic plans, budgets and KPIs, taking corrective action as needed.
• Champion operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, profitability, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Provide overall oversight of all business functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Represent the company with key customers, industry partners, professional associations and external stakeholders.
• Drive talent development, succession planning and leadership capability across the business.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, ethical and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience with a track record of delivering strategic growth.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage P&L responsibility.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to foster a high‑performance, inclusive and ethical culture.
• Experience in leading cross‑functional teams in a multinational environment.
