Mechanical Construction Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Construction Engineer to lead and coordinate the end‑to‑end execution of mechanical construction and installation activities for industrial projects in the cement sector. The role ensures safe, on‑schedule delivery while adhering to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce HSE legislation, conduct risk assessments, issue Safe Work Instructions and manage work permits.
• Supervise mechanical erection, installation and commissioning of equipment such as kilns, mills, conveyors, crushers, fans, pumps and piping systems.
• Monitor daily site activities, manpower allocation and progress against the project schedule.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks and identify execution risks, applying corrective actions.
• Support testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and prepare execution reports.
• Authorize material requests and verify contractor progress, measurements and payment bills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Required skills

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
