External Quarries & Additives Lead

About the role

We are looking for an External Quarries & Additives Lead to direct and control clay quarry and additives operations for our Sokhna plant. The role ensures efficient raw material supply, quality, and safety to support production at the LCE plant.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce HSE legislation, company policies and maintain the highest safety standards.
• Lead the clay quarry operation team to meet quarry plans, control material quantity, quality and extend quarry life.
• Supervise subcontractors to secure material supply at minimum cost and on schedule.
• Collaborate with planning to research new quarries, improve material quality and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities and army for quarry licences to guarantee long‑term raw material availability.
• Drive continuous quality improvement through Quality Circle activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on quarry performance for senior management.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments to align quarry output with production needs.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and instruction for new staff and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing quarry or raw material extraction operations.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and ability to implement them.
• Ability to supervise subcontractors and negotiate cost‑effective supply contracts.
• Experience working with planning teams and governmental bodies for licences and new site development.
• Excellent reporting, data analysis and communication skills.
