Mechanical Design Engineer – Electrical Panels & Busbar Systems

About the role

Almeliegy Electrical Industries is looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. You will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of electrical switchboards, enclosures, Busbar Trunking Systems, and related sheet‑metal products, ensuring compliance with international standards and company requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical panel enclosures and Busbar Trunking Systems.
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Develop sheet‑metal fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical design, production, and procurement teams.
• Support prototype development and product improvement activities.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly.
• Participate in product testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (mandatory) and SolidWorks Sheet Metal Module.
• AutoCAD.
• Sheet‑metal design and manufacturing processes.
• 3D modeling, assembly drawing creation.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
• Experience with ERP systems.
