Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Kraft Heinz Egypt is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead and improve maintenance processes for its production facilities. You will supervise technicians, drive preventive maintenance programs, and ensure equipment reliability while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Kraft Heinz Maintenance Management System.
• Supervise maintenance technicians repairing production machines and equipment.
• Inspect breakdowns and develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures.
• Manage maintenance tools, spare‑part inventory, and ensure optimal safety and efficiency.
• Analyze equipment useful life, asset utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Support preventive maintenance scheduling and control maintenance stores.
• Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance requirements and food‑safety standards (HACCP, GMP).
• Track and report KPIs such as maintenance cost, safety, and quality.
• Manage budget adherence and drive year‑on‑year efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling and breakdown diagnosis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, HACCP, GMP, and food‑safety regulations.
• Leadership ability to motivate a multi‑skilled technician team.
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
