Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal operation of all mechanical equipment and machinery within the plant. The role focuses on improving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high production quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preventive and routine maintenance for all mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Carry out emergency and preventive repairs to keep production uninterrupted.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and equipment upgrades.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse KPIs and ensure reliability.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and ensure availability of mechanical supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and engineering teams.
• Prepare regular maintenance and breakdown reports with improvement recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industrial standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Practical experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in calcium carbonate or similar sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and quick decision‑making in emergencies.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to Beni Suef.

Required skills

• Knowledge of rotating machinery, pumps, motors and conveyor/belt systems.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
