Medical Scribe and VMA

About the role

Arkansas Healthcare Services is looking for a detail‑oriented Medical Scribe and VMA to support physicians by documenting patient encounters in real time. The role involves accurate charting in the electronic health record (EHR) system and may include handling prior authorizations for medications.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient visits, examinations, and treatment plans under physician guidance.
• Enter data into the EHR system quickly and accurately.
• Assist with prior authorization requests for medications when needed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with providers to improve workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Fluent English (C1 level or higher) with strong medical terminology knowledge.
• High typing speed (minimum 45 words per minute) and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Prior scribe or healthcare experience is a plus; motivated candidates will be trained.
