Member of Technical Staff – Robotics Lab (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff for our Robotics Lab to work remotely on full‑time basis. You will design, develop, and deploy autonomous robotic systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware and software for next‑generation platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control algorithms, including kinematics, dynamics, and path planning.
• Develop software for perception, localization, and mapping using sensor‑fusion techniques.
• Work with hardware engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and embedded systems into functional prototypes.
• Optimize robotic performance for efficiency, reliability, and safety in dynamic environments.
• Document technical specifications, test results, and deployment procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proficiency with robotics frameworks such as ROS or ROS 2.
• Strong programming experience in C++ and Python.
• Background in real‑time control systems, embedded software, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Knowledge of computer vision, SLAM, and sensor‑fusion techniques.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (Gazebo, CoppeliaSim, NVIDIA Isaac Sim) and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDP).
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of machine‑learning methods for robotics, including reinforcement and imitation learning.
