MEP Section Head – Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Manager

About the role

The MEP Section Head leads a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and their supervisors, ensuring smooth workflow and reliable operation of building services. This senior position is responsible for defining goals, monitoring performance, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency across all MEP systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workflow of mechanical and electrical engineers, set objectives, and track team performance.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of medium/low voltage systems, UPS, ATS, MDBs, chillers, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, pumps, and generators.
• Monitor daily operations, identify deviations, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Report individual and team performance to HR and senior management, including punctuality, goal achievement, and disciplinary matters.
• Develop performance improvement plans, set goals, and administer recognition programs.
• Onboard and train new engineers, providing orientation, system knowledge, and site‑specific guidance.
• Address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and work with HR to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to define goals, communicate objectives, and evaluate performance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
