Mills Production & Planning Director

About the role

The Mills Production & Planning Director will lead the planning function for Eshratex's cotton spinning operations in Alexandria, ensuring efficient production flow and on‑time delivery for customer orders.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and scheduling of all production activities.
• Capacity mapping and analysis across departments.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on priorities, delivery dates, and machine availability.
• Create and monitor the Time & Action calendar for each order, from lab‑dip approval to final packing.
• Forecast and coordinate raw‑material procurement through Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Just‑in‑Time) to improve floor efficiency and reduce lead time.
• Lead daily inter‑departmental meetings with merchandisers and floor managers to resolve quality, shortage, or technical issues.
• Track and report KPI metrics such as efficiency, downtime, on‑time delivery, and right‑first‑time performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Age between 35 and 45 years.
• 10–15 years of production planning experience in textile or apparel manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure, and problem‑solving orientation.
