Documentation Officer - Reference Material Analysis Lab

About the role

The Documentation Officer will ensure accurate and compliant recording of all analytical activities within the Reference Material Analysis Lab. You will develop protocols, manage data integrity, and support the laboratory’s quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Record analytical data, observations, calculations and results in real time using laboratory notebooks or approved electronic systems.
• Prepare and document analytical protocols and test methods that meet scientific, regulatory and internal quality requirements.
• Extract, calculate and process data from analytical instruments, ensuring traceability and correctness.
• Maintain documentation in line with ALCOA+ data‑integrity principles.
• Use only approved versions of SOPs, methods, worksheets and forms, preventing use of obsolete documents.
• Review raw data, calculations, instrument outputs and reports for completeness, accuracy and procedural compliance.
• Submit, review, approve and archive analytical records according to the laboratory’s retention and quality policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in documentation, technical writing or process methodology, preferably in a lab, pharma or research environment.
• Strong knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO, GLP, GMP.
• Excellent command of English with strong writing and editing abilities.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
