NOC OpenStack Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned NOC OpenStack Administrator to manage and maintain our Red Hat OpenStack environment in Cairo. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud services while collaborating with backup and other infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day system administration, monitoring performance and implementing enhancements.
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot OpenStack cloud services (IaaS & PaaS).
• Maintain integration between OpenStack and external systems.
• Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, hot‑fixes and updates.
• Create and keep technical documentation for Linux servers and the OpenStack environment.
• Work closely with the Backup team to ensure backup operations follow best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience administering Red Hat OpenStack, including advanced setup, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite and OpenStack Ironic (bare‑metal) provisioning.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent English communication skills.
