On‑the‑Road WHS Coordinator / OTR WHS Manager

About the role

The On‑the‑Road (OTR) Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator supports Amazon's AMZL‑Trans and OTR operations across Egypt, ensuring a safety‑first culture and compliance with global and local standards. You will partner with business leaders to identify, assess and mitigate WHS risks while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated safety support to AMZL‑Trans sites and OTR teams, aligning with Amazon policies and local regulations.
• Conduct routine vehicle and road safety audits, identify non‑compliances and lead corrective actions.
• Monitor WHS record‑keeping and Global Safety Database entries for accuracy.
• Oversee safety training programs, ensuring trainer competency and consistent execution.
• Act as primary WHS contact for global safety stakeholders and support cross‑functional initiatives.
• Lead health and safety projects aimed at risk reduction and compliance improvement.
• Perform comprehensive WHS risk assessments for all OTR activities.
• Develop and implement local WHS procedures that meet or exceed Amazon standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of experience in workplace health & safety, safety audits, or road safety.
• Proven ability to work with operations teams, influence through data‑driven insights and deliver training.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
