Operations Technology Manager

About the role

The Operations Technology Manager will lead the planning, deployment and supervision of operational technologies across a Bel Group manufacturing plant. You will ensure that automated and digital manufacturing systems are reliable, secure and high‑performing, while driving continuous improvement and digital maturity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise implementation of operational technologies in automated and robotic process control systems.
• Deploy and maintain the EDGE platform for data management and industrial applications.
• Oversee connectivity upgrades, migration of shop‑floor equipment and physical network connections.
• Define and apply data model standards for all machines and ensure data availability for higher‑level systems.
• Virtualise shop‑floor interfaces, moving from thick to thin clients.
• Participate in the upgrade of industrial IT infrastructure (ILAN) together with the IT Site manager.
• Implement international standards such as OPC UA, PACK ML and ISA.
• Introduce innovative technologies (PLC, HMI, AI, machine learning, vision systems, wireless security, AGV, COBOT) to optimise plant performance.
• Contribute to corporate technical expertise groups and help deploy digital streams and business applications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation (LAN schematics, program versions, etc.).

• Strong technical orientation with the ability to guide, document and train plant teams.
• Experience in managing complex, multi‑vendor automation environments.
