Payment Controller Officer

About the role

The Payment Controller Officer ensures that all client payment transactions are processed accurately, compliantly, and on time. You will work closely with payment officers, sales, back‑office, and finance teams to maintain the integrity of deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and validate client deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers after payment officer approval.
• Verify payment details and supporting documentation according to internal procedures.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or irregular transactions.
• Coordinate with Sales/Dealing, Back Office, and Finance to address payment‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT policies and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all payment activities.
• Monitor payment systems, report operational issues, and support reconciliation with banks and payment providers.
• Prepare regular reports on payment activity, discrepancies, and transaction volumes.
• Escalate suspicious or high‑risk transactions to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in payments, finance operations, or back‑office roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
