Payroll Accountant – Fixed Term (18 months)

About the role

This 18‑month fixed‑term position supports payroll operations across the MEA region. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing while adhering to company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and input payroll instructions from Business Partners, Rewards, Global Mobility and Associates.
• Prepare end‑of‑service settlements for leavers and run payroll system calculations.
• Communicate deductions or salary changes to associates and issue accurate pay letters.
• Validate merit and bonus data, upload approved figures to the payroll system.
• Perform period‑close activities, local and global reporting, and balance‑sheet review using the Mars Blackline tool.
• Implement payroll system changes for Mars and Wrigley units and create tax journal entries.
• Audit payroll reports for wage and tax exceptions, ensuring correct tax liabilities.
• Process expense claims via Concur or SAP/Atlas and support government or external submissions.
• Maintain documentation for legal compliance and provide payroll‑related customer service.

Required profile

• Solid experience in payroll processing and end‑of‑service settlements.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax reporting and internal controls.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate payroll changes clearly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
