Pharmacist

About the role

GPS pharmacies is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacist to join its community pharmacy team in Cairo or Giza. You will play a key role in delivering safe, reliable pharmaceutical care, providing clear medication counseling, and supporting patients in managing their health.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and verify prescriptions.
• Provide patient counseling on dosage, side effects, and proper medication use.
• Review patient medication histories and advise on drug interactions.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels and expiry dates, and support ordering and storage processes.
• Collaborate with pharmacy assistants and maintain detailed patient and inventory records.
• Deliver courteous, informed service to all patients, including during shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription verification, and medication safety practices.
• Ability to provide clear patient counseling, including dosage instructions, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Experience with pharmacy systems, medication labeling, and accurate record‑keeping.
• Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Cairo or Giza, including shifts, weekends, or holidays.
• Previous community pharmacy experience and familiarity with local healthcare practices are beneficial.
