Phlebotomist – Tal El Kebir

About the role

The Phlebotomist will care for plasma donors during plasmapheresis, ensuring safe donor set‑up, successful collection, and proper initial processing of plasma units. The role requires maintaining equipment, a clean environment, and a professional attitude to promote a calm experience for donors.

Key responsibilities

• Assess donor suitability for plasmapheresis before venipuncture.
• Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Set up, operate, and disconnect automated plasmapheresis machines, handling troubleshooting and documentation.
• Calibrate, maintain, and clean autopheresis machines and related equipment.
• Dispose of contaminated disposables safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Document production records accurately and protect donor confidentiality.
• Build rapport with donors to enhance satisfaction and encourage repeat donations.
• Follow local regulations, SOPs, cGMP guidelines, and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate of a nursing program or Health Technical Institute (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in plasma or whole‑blood collection within a cGMP‑regulated environment.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Organized, able to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced, highly regulated medical setting.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
