PHP Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a PHP Backend Developer to design, build and maintain secure backend services, APIs, jobs and integrations that power our ERP and FinTech solutions. You will ensure data integrity, authorization, validation and audit trails while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust PHP backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Model data carefully, protect transactional integrity and implement comprehensive audit trails.
• Write clean, maintainable code, automated tests, database migrations and technical documentation.
• Investigate defects and performance issues using root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in estimates, design reviews, code reviews, releases and incident response.
• Handle concurrency, reconciliation, idempotency, permissions and maker‑checker requirements for ERP/FinTech workflows.

Required profile

• Make day‑to‑day functional decisions within approved policy, scope and budget.
• Request necessary information, evidence and stakeholder actions to perform the role.
• Recommend improvements, set priorities and escalate risks based on data.
• Challenge unclear requirements, unsafe practices and unsupported commitments.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP.
• Experience building secure APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and transactional integrity.
• Ability to write automated tests and maintain technical documentation.
• Experience with performance analysis and root‑cause debugging.
